Soma Yukihira aspires to become a full-time chef in his father's neighborhood restaurant and surpass his culinary skills. But just as Soma graduates from middle school, his father closes down the restaurant to test his skills in Europe and enrolls Soma in Totsuki Culinary Academy—an elite cooking school where fewer than 10% of the students manage to graduate.
